STNA

Category: Full-Time and Part-Time

Position Summary Under the direct supervision of the nurse in charge, the State Tested Nursing Assistant performs basic nursing duties to provide for the comfort, safety, and hygiene needs of residents. The State Tested Nursing Assistant assists residents in maintaining and possibly increasing their level of independence whenever possible.

Requirements State Tested Nursing Assistant by State of Ohio or eligible for reciprocity. Must be willing to complete the Certified Dementia Practitioner course. Qualified candidates must possess a genuine heart for the aging population and an appreciate of a faith based environment.

Registered Nurse / Licensed Practical Nurse

Category: Full-Time, Part-Time, and PRN

Position Summary Registered Nurse/Licensed Practical Nurse is accountable for the delivery of safe and therapeutic resident care from admission through discharge in collaboration with the physician, family, and other members of the multi-disciplinary health care team. Delivery of quality nursing care is assured through utilization of the nursing process. Registered Nurse/Licensed Practical Nurse serves as a positive clinical role model for staff as well as a resource person and supports the philosophy, mission, and core values of St. Leonard.

Requirements Must be a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of Ohio. Long-term care experience preferred. Qualified candidates must be committed to our wellness philosophy and Franciscan values and possess an engaging personality.

Dining Attendant

Category: Part-Time

Position Summary The Dining Attendant provides table service to residents, guest, and staff.

Requirements High school diploma or GED preferred. Experience in food service or health care preferred.  Qualified candidates must be committed to our wellness philosophy and Franciscan values and possess an engaging personality.

Station House Server

Category: Full-Time

Position Summary The Server provides table service to residents, guests, and staff in the Station House Restaurant. This position is part time with no late hour requirements.

Resident Assistant

Category: Part-Time

Position Summary Under the direct supervision of the nurse in charge, the Resident Assistant (RA) performs the basic nursing duties to provide for the comfort, safety and hygiene needs of Assisted Living residents. The RA assists AL residents in maintaining and possibly increasing their level of independence whenever possible.

Requirements Experience in the position is recommended. Must be able to work every other weekend and holiday. Qualified candidates must be committed to our wellness philosophy and Franciscan values and possess an engaging personality.

Groundskeeper

Groundskeepers are required to perform all tasks required to maintain the grounds, gardens, walks and roads in a safe, appealing condition. All personnel are on-call for snow and ice removal in the winter. Two years experience preferred. Must have a valid driver’s license with a safe driving record. Qualified candidates will possess a genuine heart for the aging population and appreciation of a faith based environment.

Housekeeping Aid

Position Summary The housekeeper is responsible for cleaning resident rooms, common areas, and campus facilities in the Health Care Center, Main Building, San Damiano, and other campus buildings as assigned.

Requirements High School Diploma or GED preferred. Previous Health Care experience preferred.

Security Officer

Category: Full Time (2nd Shift)

Position Summary The Security Officer is responsible for the security and safety of all residents, staff and employees. Security Officers monitor all emergency and life safety systems. Security also provides help and contacts for after-hours for Maintenance and other departments.

Requirements High school graduate or equivalent. Experience is preferred, but not required for this position. Regular attendance is an essential part of this job description.

Unit Manager – HRC

Category: Full-Time

The Unit Manager is responsible for assuring quality resident care, maintaining nursing service objectives and standards of nursing practice, in conjunction with the Director of Nursing. The Unit Manager serves as a resource person in both the clinical and management setting. This position also acts as a positive clinical role model and effective change agent to ensure optimum delivery of nursing care and services.

Personal Trainer

Category: Part-Time

The Personal Trainer for the Wellness Center is responsible for coordinating the delivery of wellness programs and services under the direction of the Director of Wellness, based on resident and community needs. The Personal Trainer is responsible for developing and maintaining Wellness Center memberships.

Department: Wellness
Reports to: Wellness Center Manager

  1. Coordinate Wellness Center memberships
  2. Assist in developing community relationships
  3. Assist in the design and implement of wellness programs under the direction of the Wellness Center Manager and the Fitness Supervisor
  4. Responsible for maintaining up-to-date knowledge and complying with policies and procedures of Infection Control, OSHA, Safety, State, and Federal laws. Interact effectively within multi-disciplinary teams.

In addition to the essential job specific duties listed above, the Personal Trainer shall be required to perform all duties (essential and non-essential) in a manner consistent with the mission statement and core values (Reverence, Service and Stewardship) of St. Leonard and will be evaluated on such basis. Furthermore, every employee must abide by all campus, departmental and safety policies, rules and regulations.

Spiritual Care Associate

The Spiritual Care Associate assists in the coordination of the religious and spiritual care provided for all residents, families and staff members as needed. Specific areas of responsibility are residents and co-workers at the Health and Rehab Center and at San Damiano Residence.

Transportation Driver

The Transportation Driver is responsible for providing scheduled and special transportation to all residents of St. Leonard in a safe, comfortable and timely manner.

Department: Transportation
Reports to: Transportation Supervisor

  1. Responsible for transporting residents.
  2. Responsible for maintenance of all vehicles in department.
  3. Interacts effectively within multi-disciplinary team.
  4. Satisfies all educational in-service requirements which are mandated by the Department, the facility and by external accrediting and regulatory agencies.
  5. Responsible for maintaining up-to-date knowledge and complying with policies and procedures of Infection Control, OSHA, Safety, State and Federal laws, regulations and Resident Rights.

Payroll and Benefits Specialist

Department: Human Resources
Reports to: Human Resources Manager

Processes bi-weekly payroll and enters accounts payables and writes checks for center obligations and send to vendors.

  1. Process all bi-weekly payrolls for St. Leonard including hourly.
  2. Handle and correct all payroll errors.
  3. Administers assigned benefits/employee relation programs in collaboration with the Human Resources Manager.
  4. Responsible for entering, maintaining and updating data in the Human Resources/Payroll Information Systems.
  5. Assist in Developing and maintaining wage and salary structure, pay policies, employee benefit programs and services. Monitors for effectiveness and cost containment.

Finance Office Coordinator

Department: Finance
Reports to: Controller

Gather and accurately record all financial transactions for St. Leonard and the Joseph Bernardin Residence. Provide financial statements for each entity.

  1. Produce timely and accurate financial statements.
  2. Reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure the accuracy of the balance.
  3. Supervise resident billing and employee payroll.
  4. Monitor accounts payable entries to ensure charges to proper accounts.
  5. Serve as the System Administrator for computerized billing and general ledger system.
  6. Prepare miscellaneous financial and statistical analysis as requested.
